Billing freezes mid-service
Guests line up to pay, but the cloud screen just spins. The cashier cannot print receipts, close open tables, or take payments.
Switching on the kitchen lights…
Internet drops? Your billing stays on.
Your billing counter runs the Hub, while waiter phones, kitchen screens, and QR menus connect locally over your private restaurant Wi-Fi.
A packed dining room, hungry guests, and a blinking red router light. Here is what happens on a Friday rush when a POS relies on the cloud:
Guests line up to pay, but the cloud screen just spins. The cashier cannot print receipts, close open tables, or take payments.
Waiters scramble to write paper orders by hand. Slips get stained or mixed up. The kitchen makes the wrong items for the wrong tables.
Finished tables cannot settle while the POS is unavailable. New diners may be left waiting for a table.
Your entire restaurant runs locally on your counter Hub. Even if your internet cable is completely cut, your service keeps running.
03 / MEET THE HUB
The owner's POS computer runs the Hub. Your restaurant's own Wi-Fi connects the other screens to it, so orders and bills keep moving when the internet is out.
Online services may stop responding. The Hub and the restaurant's local network are still here.
Pilot, Galley, Boarding, Gate Board and Check-in talk to the Hub over local Wi-Fi. The Hub records the order and sends each update where it belongs.
A waiter can send an order from Pilot, or guests can order through Boarding. The Hub assigns a token, routes items to Galley, and Check-in records the bill. UPI payment is confirmed by the cashier.
Follow an example order as it moves across your restaurant on the local network.
A waiter opens the menu on their paired phone at Table 7, adds the note "no onion", and sends the order over the restaurant Wi-Fi.
The counter Hub records the order locally, assigns a token, and routes items to the appropriate kitchen stations.
The kitchen station receives the ticket and its note. The chef can use Start, Pause, Ready and Served as the order moves through the kitchen.
The Gate Board shows preparing and ready token numbers on the restaurant TV without displaying customer names or phone numbers.
Check-in handles the bill with configurable taxes and charges. For UPI, the cashier checks the receiving app, records the reference and marks the bill paid.
From Pilot on waiter phones to Galley kitchen displays, Gate Board TV and Boarding QR ordering, each screen works with the local Hub. Cash and manual UPI confirmation are part of the Phase 1 workflow.
We never invent customer counts, fake percentages, or imaginary awards. Here are the exact operational numbers behind DineSet.

DineSet gives restaurants across India an affordable, offline-first alternative at a flat ₹10,000/year for all 6 apps with zero internet dependency for daily service. Public price source
Short, honest answers. If you need more detail, ask Jay.
Yes. The Hub runs on your restaurant POS computer and your own local Wi-Fi. Billing, waiter orders and kitchen updates can keep working without public internet.
Your POS computer runs the Hub. Pilot is for waiter phones, Galley is for kitchen screens, Boarding runs on a guest phone, and Gate Board is for a token TV. Jay can check the right setup for your restaurant.
Not for the core local workflow. If you already have Wi-Fi, devices use it. With supported hardware, the Hub can also create its own local Wi-Fi in Hotspot Mode.
Yes. The local Hub is designed to connect waiter devices and more than one kitchen screen or station. Jay will confirm the right device setup before you start.
No. Phase 1 supports cash and manual UPI confirmation. The cashier checks the receiving UPI or bank app, records the reference when available, then marks the bill paid.
You can configure taxes, service charges, packaging charges and rounding on bills. Your accountant should confirm the tax setup that applies to your restaurant.
For day-to-day service, the Hub on the owner POS computer runs the local restaurant workflow. Ask Jay about the setup that fits your restaurant.
Setup depends on your menu, devices and kitchen flow. Talk to Jay for a clear plan for your restaurant before you begin.
Yes. You get one month to try DineSet before the yearly plan.

Most cloud POS applications like Petpooja or Pangat rely on continuous internet connectivity to punch KOTs and generate bills. When the internet drops on a busy night, service halts. DineSet runs offline-first over your restaurant’s own local Wi-Fi, keeping waiter phones, kitchen displays, and billing uninterrupted. While cloud systems charge recurring fees for extra modules, DineSet includes all 6 apps for a flat ₹10,000/year.
